The Department of Public Works is dedicated to maintaining and enhancing the quality of life for our residents through the following services:
- Road and Bridge Maintenance: Ensuring safe and well-maintained infrastructure.
- Snow and Ice Removal: Keeping public streets clear and safe during winter.
- Public Building and Equipment Maintenance: Upkeeping village buildings and equipment.
- Street and Traffic Control Signs: Installing and maintaining essential signage.
- Leaf Removal: Partnership with Marengo Disposal for a cleaner environment.
- Streetlight Maintenance: Please report outages to Village Hall or Public Works
- Park Maintenance: Mowing, trimming, landscaping, and cleaning all village parks.
Note that in some recently annexed subdivisions, the roads remain private and these services will not be available until these private roads are accepted by the village.

Curbside Brush & Branch Pick-Up
Public Works staff will perform Village-wide curbside tree branch pick up running May-October. The pick-up dates will be the last Thursday of each month. Click on the date you would like to register for below. (You may register each month if needed)
2026 Collection Dates
Easement, Ditch, Culvert
Maintenance of Easements, Ditch and Culverts, are the responsibility of the property owner to maintain. Owner responsibilities can be found in Village Ordinance's 052, 103 and 324.
