Notice of Project Funding Assistance (Hancock Dr S&W)

Construction of the Hancock Drive Business District Lift Station, Sanitary Sewer, and Water Main Improvements Project to the Stonewater Wastewater Treatment Plant and the Village of Wonder Lake water system were financed by both the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (SRF) and Drinking Water SRF.  The SRF programs are administered by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency and receive a portion of its money to fund these types of projects from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.  This project includes the construction of a sanitary lift station, sanitary main, water main, and water and sewer service connections to residents to replace aging and failed wells and septic systems.  Once complete, it will improve water quality for area residents and businesses in the Village of Wonder Lake by reducing reliance on failing wells and septic systems.  SRF programs operate in each state to provide communities the resources necessary to build, maintain, and improve the infrastructure that protects one of our most valuable resources: water.
