Wonder Lake Road that will result in closure to through traffic, from Hancock Drive north to Birch Drive into the month of April, is postponed to Monday, March 9, 2026. Work to grind, grade and compact E. Wonder Lake Road between Hancock Drive north to 500 feet north of Center Drive is also postponed to Monday, March 9, 2026.

11/04/25 - On Wednesday, November 5, 2025, the intersection of Hancock and E Wonder Lake Road/E Wonder Lake Drive will be open, however, for the morning, there will be one lane of traffic east of the intersection with flaggers directing traffic.

9/22/25 - Business Owner Meeting @ 7p at MPOA building, 7602 Hancock Dr.
9/17/25 - Survey sent to known business owners to collect connection opt-in or opt-out information. Robinson also began going door to door 9/18. Pink paint applied for S (sewer) or W (water) applied at each property to the west of Dollar General.
9/15/25 - Decision taken to full-lift Hancock Dr from E WL Rd to E LSD to ensure highest quality road surface, resulting in grinding of the entire surface.

7/31/25 - Connection fee finalized for Sunset Dr, South Dr, and East Dr residential units being stubbed out by the project, connection fees are as follows: is $4025 for water, and $2500 for sewer. Permit fee is $112 and inspection fee is $112. These costs do not include costs associated with connection from stub to residential water and sewer systems. This is in accordance with Village Ordinance 605.
7/16/25 - Construction begins - Lift station, E Lake Shore Dr, and Sunset
7/14/25 - South 7600 block of Hancock fenced off for storage of equipment and supplies for the duration of the project.
5/1/25 - Community meeting being scheduled for Monday 5/5 7p, tentatively at the MPOA to discuss all questions related to the project implications for residents of Wonder Lake.
5/1/25 - Staging area has been cleared to the east of Dollar General and will soon be silt fenced. Additional staging space being sought closer to the lake.
4/16/25 - Final IEPA submission has been sent, expected response on or before June 30th, 2025 giving the project an approval to break ground and have access to IEPA funds granted to the project.
